Sweeter, Smoother, Hotter

In the last week, my tea has been sweeter, my coffee has been smoother and my hot water bottle hotter. It's all down to our sleek new kettle (can you see the elongated me reflected off its surface).

Thank you to the house guests who broke the dodgy plastic one which underboiled half the time anyway. Next time you come, feel free to break (and then feel guilty enough to replace) any of the following:
The bed, with it's toe-breaking footboard
The sofa with its stained arms and cigarette burnhole
The bulky, non-flat-screen computer monitor
The drafty front or back doors
The double glaze windows with trapped condensation

See you soon!

Brilliant idea. I think that needs to be a neatly typed list left on the pillow of your next guest.

I agree with anonymous, we will be taking an experienced look at your roof. (well, Geoff will; I will be at the puppet show!!)

I didn't break your kettle. It was broken before I broke it!
Your bed is definitely a 'risk management' issue. I am willling to make a 'draft dodger' for your back door - just say the word. Honestly? Forget the house, it's the people in it that are wonderful - that's all that matters.
