Low hanging fruit
The Dons have been struggling to bring in some new blood this summer break, but have found some low hanging fruit among the juniors, and have brought in this new striker on a free transfer. Watchout Darren Mackie. PS can't resist a charity shop bargain.

Will the Dons become a charity? Perhaps Claire might be their best bet!!
I don't understand a single word of this post...do I have to live in Scotland to understand?
Dana
It may help to live there Dana or just listen to John regarding the Aberdeen Football (soccer) club called the Dons - red is their color. Much of the lingo is 'football'! So this is a totally 'JOHN' post. He may be hoping that Clair will be an Aberdeen fan like her father and grandfather.
I'm with you Dana, and I live here!!!
Haha... I was going to post the exact same comment as Dana... but now I have to say how shocked I am that Dad knows all about the Dons. And She sure looks sute, some glad we went that day and bought the outfit!
Well, that was entertaining. John's posts tend to be a little more stream-of-consciousness than Sharon's, and I'm used to a little bit of linguistic/cultural puzzle-solving when I read his posts. But this one was wild. And the comments are hilarious.
Thanks Patrick,I live under the delusion that some Scottish people view this blog, but no it is 100% Canucks

Wow ..I don't feel so alone in my confusion now that I've read the comments...Can we have a translation of low hanging fruit?
Tracey - in the 'soccer' summer break teams go looking for players to boost their squad. I saw this cute Aberdeen football top for a 2 year-old in a charity shop and had to get it for Claire. The 'low hanging fruit' means easily obtained fruit i.e. a bargain player easily found....Need I say any more?

Great. I'm with Dana. J is speaking and Lisa, once again, needs to put her hand up to request clarification of the references.
Great pics of the lovely Laura, I am SO jealous, and the princesses from the east are fantastic.
Love to all
Lisa
