Stop panicking Mom, stop panicking. No, we are not turning vegetarian. Every time we visit you, we will, as usual, greedily and happily gobble up all the pork chops and sausages and chicken and fish you deliciously serve up. We are just going to try to eat less meat so, faithful readers of Sheep Bring Bread, please send your favourite recipe/veggie meal/idea,etc. Reach out to your veggie friends and neighbours and get them to contribute. We'll let you know how we like it, and we will be passing all ideas on to a few other friends who are trying the same thing (you know who you are, and you will thank me).

In your Good housekeeping book there's a whole section on vegetarian that I recommend... especially the roasted veg tatin and the veg lasagne (in the pasta section). Sorry to any readers who were hoping to also cash in on some recipes.
I HIGHLY recommend the tasty Neatloaf served at the various restaurants run by the followers of Sri Chinmoy. Here is a recipe:

Also, if you find yourself in Montreal, Chu Chi is one of the greatest reaturants I have ever dined at. They serve wonderful beef, chicken, and duck dishes that are all 100% vegetarian. All served up in a modern, minimalist decor. Wonderful.

Finally, considering your geographical location, I will let you explore this one all yourself. I am sure many would consider it blasphemous.

My favourite vegetarian dish is KD
I love this idea, we eat meatless at least once if not twice a week (less since Henry's been eating solids), and I rarely eat meat at lunchtime. Healthy and cheaper! My favourite vegetarian cookbook is The Moosewood Cookbook. I will find something in it and email it to you.
Thank you! Jennifer, I have the moosewood, just email me recommended page numbers or recipe names. Bethanne, my GH doesn't have tatin. Dan!! Veggie duck, beef chicken???? BUT, we can buy veggie haggis here and it's good, and I am going to try the Neatloaf. Thanks again.
la tarte aux poireaux !
Goulash in a Dash!
A splash of oil
300g Quorn pieces (Beef style pieces do well)
200g Mushrooms, quartered
2 tsp Paprika
500g potatoes, peeled and cut into smallish chunks
450ml hot veg stock
1 Jar Lloyd Grossman's Tomatoe & Garlic sauce
Handfull of parsley leaves
Natural yoghurt
Gently fry Mushrooms and paprika in a little oil for 2-3 mins. Add potatoes, stock and sauce, cover and simmer for 20 mins.
Fry Quorn pieces for 5-10 mins and put to one side.
After mushrooms etc have simmered for 20 mins add fried quorn pieces and continue to simmer for 10 mins.
To serve stir in parsley leaves and a swirl of yoghurt.
Goes well with rice and/or fresh crust bread.
Enjoy!
