All Sorts
I didn't make this cake (google image), but Heather and I did make one just as delicious. She had pineapple upsidedown cake at a friend's house the other week and loved it. Just hearing about it made me very nostalgic for my mother's homecooking, so we found a recipe and yumyum.
Three-in-one:
Rather than spreading the girls out into the numerous bedrooms in this house, we are jamming them all into one. Claire has moved in with the big girls and Laura has got her own room, so no longer has to put up with her parent's snoring. It's going reasonably well.
I've got eyebrows:
Actually, it sounds like, "me dot eyebwows". Last month Claire began listing everyone she knows who has eyebrows. The other night she was cuddled in with me for a few hours and in the dark I felt this little hand reach out to my face and begin stroking my eyebrows.
Pot of Gold:
Guess what badge you get when you move up from Rainbows to Brownies, as Ailsa has done this week. That's right, the Pot of Gold badge. get it?
Thud. Waaa!:
Laura is trying to stand up, holding on to the couch, table, anybody's legs, the bin, anything. She falls down a lot. These are tearful times.

3 in 1- How come? Do you find they play instead of sleep?
eyebrows- Know what's weird? - so does Lily!..She's facinated. Mostly with mine and her own though.
pot of gold - nope don't get it..unless you're talking about the chocolates?
Thud- ooooh! Poor Laura!
does Claire know anyone who doesn't have eyebrows?
I love the eyebwows part!
Tell Claire that once upon a time Opa had only one eyebrow. He singed it right off - looked some funny too and this right before an important date with me!
Congrats Ailsa. (Tracy I'm a little disappointed in you). Great job with the cake Heather, will you make some when you come to visit us?
Laura ask Henry if you can use his walking car.
Ah, delighted to hear that Ailsa's plan about the bedrooms has come off.

Tracey:
The Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbows.
We don't trust Claire in with Laura, and 2 empty bedrooms are up in the converted loft, where no one feels old enough or brave enough to be yet, except me with my sewing machine! I love it.
Ahh I love it- an up up upstairs secret sewing loft! your house sounds delightful!
Oooohhh! Thanks for all the explainations! :) I thought of that but read it as moving from rainbows to brownies to pot of gold...ding ding! Sorry!....I'll sheepishly lower my head and shuffle away now....
A sewing loft...sounds amazing! Do you have a camera yet? I want a picture of you in your sewing loft! Isn't there a fairy tale that goes something like that?
That is so weird. Eyebrows.
