Plaque

Not the dental kind.

The memorial kind. The historical kind. Such as,

"In this house lived Hector McAlpine, Civil Engineer, from 1758-1771"

Or,

"On this site in 1832 the Fraser-Cameron rebellion took place".

 

I did make those two up, but you know the sort of thing I mean.

I did not however, make up the one you can see in this photo. We saw it in a little fishing village called Johnshaven, on a small dilapidated brick building.
