Blossoms

These are our beautiful blossoms on the pear tree in the back yard. We have spent the weekend at home, now that Heather has got the chicken pox. But we did a lot of weeding and tidying up. The roofers have left the skip (dumpster) in the driveway until Monday so we got to throw all sorts of wierd shed/garage items in it.
Also, our 90 year old neighbours came over this afternoon for apple pie and a cup of tea. They are full of stories of building your own camper van, walking through the mountain valleys with a bicycle on your shoulder, annual trips to Lourdes, and local subsidence. Apparently, 100 years ago, our street was a coal mine. The houses across the road nearly sunk underground last year! For my Dad: Boy, that would be the pits.

Why has Heather got the chicken pox when she was vaccinated last year? Maybe it's different. Maybe it's the hen pox. Or the pigeon pox.

I was just going to ask the same thing!! Are you stir-crazy at home or enjoying the peace? Your blossoms look beautiful, do you actually get pears?! I'm jealous. It's barely been above 0 degrees here!

Hey Sharon Is this where the word 'pity' comes from?
