Sweet Lemonade

The girls have been wanting all sumer to set up a lemonade stand, but finding a good day with nothing else going on, and some sunshine, that wasn't an easy combination. But last Thursday it came. Boy, the enthusiasm...and the impatience. After 15 minutes with no customers, they knocked on the next door neighbour's door to ask if he would like to come out to buy some lemonade! He did. They took a break and went back to it at suppertime, when lots of hospital staff walk up our road to the bus stop, and people come home from work. Five customers in all, the last one was their Dad. I think he got extra ginger snaps at no extra cost. And the lemonade was delicious. We drank the unsold stock with supper.
Photography experts: what's with the glare on the second pic? How do I avoid that?

Oh boy, I could go for some lemonade right now. It is hot. What are your shipping and handling charges?

I'm also looking forward to hearing from the photography experts.

I cannot show Mae this post- she has been going on about this for a year. But we live in a cul-de-sac! And I thought the second picture just had the rosy glow of your love surrounding it...

Both photos show glare and streaks from bright light. This happens when you have a greasy lens. Try cleaning it with a lint-free cloth and a non-abrasive cleaning solution. Perhaps the eye glass wearers in the family have something suitable.

Did you backdate your post or am I really late looking?! What a cute lemonade stand! Hannah had one with a friend recently but I sent her to the corner since our street also isn't busy...might be an idea for Mae. But Hannah's stand didn't have homemade cookies!! What a treat! Is your camera a point and shoot or an SLR? If it's an SLR and the greasy lens doesn't solve anything, you may want to get a lens hood for your lens. Relatively inexpensive but blocks the sun from around the lens. Good luck!
