Archaeological Adventures
We were at the beach on Saturday, enjoying the sunshine (and the wind). Three out of the five ice creams fell splat out of their cones within 2 minutes, but we managed to share out what was left without too many tears and do a lot of wave jumping and a bit of digging in the sand. We didn't bring the camera, but I remembered I had these pictures of a hot day in June at the beach. Something metal was sticking out of the sand, and the digging began.
Heather, when something captures her enthusiasm, really goes for things with gusto. She was sure she could get the whole trolley / cart out in the 20 minutes before we had to leave, using just her hands, if only Mum would help out, using that little blue shovel.
I don't know if anyone else ever came along to finish the job, or if the tide came in to hide the job.

it might have been a fascinating find. You mean you didn't get down there and start shovelling with that blue shovel?
do you suppose its full of groceries?
I so get that. I would be sure we could dig it out too! Big question is how did it get there?
Hummm... I just love reading between the lines.
