North-East Wind
A trip up north for work purposes and to hang with the grandparents. The obligatory trip to the beach was a bit different. Firstly blue skies, my first ever sighting of the Dolphins everyone talks about in Aberdeen harbour. Sharon and I had our supernanny look after the kids while we did some sand-kiting (my kite is orange). Yes, it's times like these, when everything seems to be right in place (not to mention the 2-0 win over Rangers) that you think you're in paradise........ Listen out for Ailsa's yelp on the first video clip. Music by Eddi Reader.

Awesome video! Looks like your technical know-how is growing as well. Excellent.
What is this sand kitting? Are you towed by a kite in a wheeled vehicle? Looks amazing - and fast!
Wowee! What a post, what a video. Boy o boy, wish I was there.
What a nostalgic kind of video! Great. I think you're ready for sand yachting... let's plan a trip together!
OK...Sharon's asked me to 'fess-up'. So it's me taking the video not sand-yachting as Bethanne correctly calls it. I'd thought evryone would clearly know that Sharon and me never have enough frr time on our own or the Uber-extreme sports of B+B or triathletes. It doesn't detract from the beautiful North-East.

I am dreadfully sorry- I couldn't listen to the music long enough to see the sand kiting! I am a philistine (and proud)
WHAT??!! not you?? I thought maybe kiting was easier and you got crazy and decided to try... I was so hopeful. You've been known to be crazy, John.
So i'll cancel the yachts then?
If you arrange the baby sitters BA I'll agreee to anything, as long as it doesn't give me vertige.
And as for Jen not liking Harry Nilsson's song- just wait till I can play you my rendition on the guitar.
