A Picture Tells You Very Little Indeed

Just in response to the impression that I'm a good Mom because I made some cookies with my children. What none of you heard was me saying, with gritted teeth, "Don't touch the eggs. I told you three times not to touch the eggs." or, "Can.you.just.wait.I.can't.do.three.things.at.once".

Nor, did anybody see me, later that day, slam the wardrobe door to go see who was crying now and over what?!?!?! Well, I got what I deserved. As a result, the mirror inside the wardrobe smashed. Into the wardrobe. Sending little shards of reflective glass all among the socks and underwear and pyjamas. That was fun to clean up.

So I broke a mirror on Friday the 13th. What am I in for?

Don't worry... Friday 13th caused the mirror to break, but now that's over. Normally the mirror would give you 7 years of Fri13 type luck. But I've checked with certain superstition officials and since it smashed on the inside, your luck is reversed, so you're in for 7 years of 4 sweet children who never fight or bite you.

I'm with Bethanne. 7 years of good luck.

exactly, the two events completely countered one another to give you good luck. go buy some lottery tickets.

Hee Hee. Good to get a bit of insight behind the perfect Mum-facade. Only makes you even more gorgeous.

And, im with the others, friday 13th and broken mirror completely counter each other.

I once got mad at Jason & slammed a stained glass kitchen cabinet door that his dad made for us and as I was slamming it my brain registered that this was a bad idea as it slipped from my hand and cracked! I left it up to remind myself to watch my temper! Glad to hear I'm not the only one!

And hey the cookies got made...in my books thats a great mom. Plus you were able to keep the kids from playing with eggs!ANNND you were going to see who was crying...rather than let them fight itout themselves :) kudos to you!
Is that how you spell kudos?

I agree smedley.... we've all been there, done that- maybe not EXACTLTY that... but close enough in thought and spirit! Blame it on the pregnancy and hormones.

Besides, you made lots of us laugh and remember our memories of similar sorts...

Hope your day is better,

Love Maria
