I want not
At the university cafe this morning, I ordered a cappucino. I did not ask for, and did not want anything with it. Nonetheless, this foil wrapper was placed on the saucer. Inside, this fortune cookie. Yes, fortune cookie. With a cappucino? And inside it says: "Wise people say waste not want not. Reduce reuse recycle where you can on campus". Why did they waste this on someone who didn't want it? I'm thinking back to last season's The Apprentice and the environmental greeting cards. sigh.
Other thoughts: I'm not sure we will frequent the university cafe even though it advertises itself as open to the public. At most of the tables were individual students studying. While I sipped my coffee, Heather boogied to the MTV videos and Claire spent the 15 minutes standing backwards on her chair shouting "Hiya" at them all.

I hope you gave the fortune to the manager? Maybe not worth it. Claire is saying Hiya? That's cute, and it's the cafe's own fault that Heather boogied to videos... why are they playing videos for studying students? I say go back if you like.
Oh yes go back again and again. It's such a nice cafe. But I suggest that you suggest they stop passing out tinfoil wrap goodies.
Wow, that post is pure fodder for comments. Did you complain about the fortune cookie? It's ridiculous. And I would have been one of the studying students, feeling that my $1.50 coffee (no tip) entitles me to take up an entire table for four, for 2.5 hours.

Yeh, leave that university cafe behind Reid girlies... Is that nice cafe Kilou still in existence? You know, the one on little Belmont Street run by the nice boys? Hang out there!

There's a cool new cafe in Bedford that has a play area ..I'm talking slide and stuff to rival MacDonalds playland...AND a baby play section..so while you sip away -kids play away..supervised by people who have been hired by the cafe just to supervise!! Im telling ya,,move back to Nova Scotia and go to the Tree house cafe!!!
They don't have fortune cookies though.
