Self-Rated

We've just had a lovely weekend with some wonderful guests, who made the long journey up from Dumfries. They put on disco-light dance shows, did a lot of dishes, drank a bit of wine, ate bedtime chocolate chip cookies, drew pictures of panda bears, skeletons and floor plans, also drank a lot of coffee and did a lot of chatting. At one point the younger houseguest said,
"Why is this bar of soap cut in half?"
The older one said, "because Sharon is thrifty."
"What does thrifty mean?"
"It means she likes to save money"
"Is she saving up to buy me a dinosaur robot for Christmas?"
"Uh, no, I don't think she is".

I truly cannot believe you are not buying my daughter a dino-robot for Christmas. I'll have to tell her you pushed me off those stepping stones.....

I'm coming to cut your soap into 16ths... everyone can expect great gifts from the Reids this year!!
...This must be how Santa does it.

OK People. The reason I cut the soap in half (in the toilet room only) is because the sink is teeny teeny and the soap rest is also teeny. If you put a normal bar of soap there, it just slips off. It's got nothing to do with being thrifty.
Well, actually, I did think to buy pretty little tiny bars of soap but they were twice as expensive as a big bar.
