Puddles, Eddi and Hummus
Just a few points from this last week.
We were getting cabin fever last Saturday and decided to get out despite the weather. We found Ailsa's old tiny wellies that fit Claire just perfectly. Rain coats, trousers, boots and Peppa Pig umbrellas led to a good afternoon of puddle splashing.
Last night we had a wonderful babysitter (a 21 year-old medical student from church who comes from a family of four kids herself and doesn't seem overwhelmed by keeping our crew in check). So we went to an Eddi Reader gig in a barn in Banchory. I yawned through the whole thing but still really enjoyed it.
Monday morning I was wishing I had some hummus so I went to the store and bought a tub. Later I went for lunch at a friend's. She had a mountain of homemade hummus that I tucked into. That afternoon as we were picking our children up from nursery she handed me a big bowl of leftover homemade hummus. Then, off we went to pick Ailsa up from school where I met another friend whose party I had been to Saturday night. She handed me 2 tubs of unopened hummus (one with added jalapeno) leftover from her party and finding no room in her fridge.Be careful what you wish for.

Well now that was an entertaining post. Almost poetic, I'd say. Happy hummus eating.
Is that the first craving??
That's a lot of hummus!! Can you freeze hummus?
