Sharon turns 40
We got back from Ontario yesterday - lots of photos to share, but we've been on an extended Sharon celebration starting with pancake breakfast with the Reynolds/Forbes in Kingston on wednesday - birthday cake in Toronto on thursday with Dana and family, CN tower extravaganza with Deirdre on friday (the actual B day date).
Heather chose the best dessert
Here's Ailsa and Heather sitting on the glass floor in the tower - Oma don't look down!.
This latter challenge of ascending the CN tower was a tricky one if you're scared of heights (1815 feet=533.33 metres, formerly the worlds tallest building until 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CN_Tower). The best trick is to close your eyes as you go up the glass elevator that takes only 1 minute and count to 60.There I was thinking the CN tower was the big challenge of the day! Getting four girls to go to sleep on the overnight transatlantic plane required an extra-special mum, who somehow got Laura to sleep at her feet for 6 hours. Well done and happy B-day supermum. More Canadiana to follow.

I would comment but those pictures made me feel woozyy - maybe tomorrow.
Wow! I'd love to go up. At least, I think I would. The elevator ride seems a bit daunting.
Easier on the way doooown
Happy Birthday Sharon! May I just say you look AMAZING!! Love those pictures! Is Deirdre in Canada now?
Happy birthday Sharon - you look so glamerous with the short hair.
I visited the CN tower when i was 7 years old and have such great memories of it. is there still a playcentre underneath or am I making that up?

looks fab! as do the Reids at their fancy dinner. Happy Birthday, Sharon! You look ready to take on the world (although a bit Donald Trumph-like) in that 1st photo. We miss you all!!!
