That's what Heather thinks should be served for lunch at the royal wedding.
The older girls had the day off school, but we decided to still run our parent-toddler group in our church hall and have a wedding tea party and watch the proceedings. So the big girls joined us, putting on their favourite princess dresses and dancing around.

Look at this wonderfully laid-out table piled high with goodies:

And my carrot cake adorned by Ailsa's Lego bride and groom:

And best of all. The tv had dodgy reception that kept cutting out. Father Patrick, who really has no interest in frilly weddings or royal families, kindly held the arial so the girls could ooh and ahh!.

Claire, with her three year old concept of reality, said as she was tucked into bed tonight, "Maybe Kate and William will come to see us at our house".

Such magic! And to think our school wouldn't let it be shown to the students because "you adults are interested but the kids are not." Grrr. There were many teachers who disobeyed and let the kids watch anyway - me included, to my surprise.
Happy Royal wedding weekend!
Ha! You changed your tune, I'm glad to see. Laura liked the horses best.
They will be coming to our house first...according to Lily they were set to stop by today..but alas...
Lily liked the horses too..so many ! Rose has been princess bride Rose walking with a while bug net on her head for the past two days!
I think Will and Kate could do no btter thing than stop in at the Reids for tea. Perhaps next time they are on the way to Balmoral
That Royal cake looks finger licking good. I watched the wedding too. I thought everything was beautiful except my dress! I watched it in my pajamas.
