My Heart's in the Highlands....

Just got back from a week in a cottage in the windy west coast of Scotland at Achnachaird near Achilitbuie (try saying that after a few gins!). First the girls had lots of fun staying with the Fox family near Inverness - here they are doing a mama mia tune with cartwheels on every 8th beat by Tom. Laura has starting saying lots of words like 'boot-on' when she wants to go outisde. She loved the sheep and kept saying Baa whenever she saw one.

The first day we got there it was 20 degrees (Se bronzer en Ecosse en Avril, c'est fou!)This one is of Ailsa who kept insisting the water wasn't coldWe went to Lochinver to see the Highland Stoneware pottery factory - here's Heather and Claire looking moody by some broken versions of Ailsa's sheep crockeryThere was a lot of walking - I took Ailsa and Heather up Stac Pollaidh, which is just over 2000 feetI had an attack of 'vertige' near the top and had to wimp out from the peak
The Hills are still alive......

Thanks for all the photos... it looks like a fab holiday! But what a country... you really have to be prepared for any weatherm huh? In one photo you've got winter coats and hats... the next- t-shirts and bare legs! Hilarious.
Missed you while you were out of contact.
