Sitting up in the kitchen during the sleepover

ooh, aren't those cute sleeping masks? Right now there are 5 of Ailsa's friends sardined in sleeping bags in her room. It is quiet at the moment (11:55pm), but 5 minutes ago there was a lot of shrieking and giggling. I have no idea how this is going to go. Will they be up until 3am? Will they start crying and wanting to go home? I feel like I should stay awake down here until they are all conked out. Because, if I get into my bed and start drifting off....and then they act up and wake me up, I will grouch and grump at them in my stupor. And I do not want to be thought of as the grouchy grumpy Mum. I prefer to be thought of as the quietly busy downstairs Mum.
We did make sleeping masks earlier though, that was a lot of fun. None as cool as the owls though. Mostly buttons and bows.
ooh, I hear footsteps coming down the stairs....

Hmmm... my sources tell me they were asleep 5 minutes later... I hope the footsteps were John's! And then they slept in till 6am!! Hope your sleep is better tonight, Quietly Busy Downstairs Mum.

Yes, you have it correct little fly on the wall. Except for the footsteps. That was a girl wanting to phone her mum to say goodnight at midnight. I told her my phone turns back into a pumpkin after midnight. But it was a great party!

Cool sleep masks. Mine has girly ZZZZZ's across the front, annoyingly. (It's a necessity, sleeping at the hostel when people come in at all hours, so don't laugh.)
