Counting down the days
But, we have been practising lots of carols / songs on the piano and violin and with our voices. In fact, Claire got a wee certificate from school for "wonderful singing". And I am going this afternoon to see the school nativity play ("Born in a Barn") and hear this wonderful singing.
And we are just enjoying opening all our advent calendars, of which we have seven. The image above is the Cbeebies online one that we take turns opening. So that's one computer mouse clicking calendar, 2 chocolate, 2 with doors and pictures, one with socks and playmobil and one circular one that slides to reveal a scripture. Oh, and an advent wreath.
We are bigging up advent in our house.

We are also loving the advent calendar this year! We just have one chocolate one, but were also gifted from my aunt and uncle two computer-game like ones that we're spending like an hour on every evening! Playmobil one sounds reaaally fun though.
Glad to see you are enjoying Advent. Sometimes the journey is as much fun as the destination. We are certainly enjoying our "calendar" from you. But Opa isn't playing fair - he opened 2 days in a row!! But he denies it!!!
You're also "bigging up" your British vocabulary, I see!
Happy advent... me too, I just love it, though we only have one sock-calendar and a wreath with candles.
