Bert's worst nightmare

And Big Bird's dream come true: two Mr Hooper's. Nothing but the latest new-fangled toys for our girls. Thank you Oma for never throwing anything out these last 35 years.

Blooming all around the Heather

Here's our lush front garden. I planted the allium bulbs (tall purple ones). Everything else just bloomed without any effort from us. Well, aside from the Heather. Heather is not easy to grow; requires a lot weeding.

The Briney Ocean Tossed

Yet again we've said farewell to Nova Scotias charms. We're back from a fun trip to to the homeland. NS served up up one week of lovely warm weather - even warm enough to go paddling (inthe UK sense) in the Shubie lake, then a second of rain. There was the wonderful Reynolds hospitality, Duncan turning 7, smelt fishing, followed by eating smelts at Tia and Jacks. Ailsa and Heather loved feeding the chickens at the MacDonalds. A stay at the Reynolds Chateau at Macarras brook with some inevitable 4 wheel driving extravaganza. A mighty amount of baby-sitting. Lobster suppers, food, food , more seafood..... some needlework, learning to play Scales and Arpeggios on a wee piano thing Sharon found at a fleamarket. Renovating an abondoned green spray painted guitar. Sad to leave and sad to go back to work.
but... our garden is Glasgow is erupting in flowers! and Aberdeen have made it into the UEFA (European) cup by beatnig Rangers today. Maybe they will be tied to play Olympique Arlon ?

Tick the correct box

No, she's not voting, even though it's election day today.
I had my scan yesterday, all was well, due date the 13th October. So we told the girls. Ailsa said, "Yay!!.....Can you only run really slow now?" Heather said, "Watch this!" and jumped sideways off the chair.
Anyway, this morning Ailsa went through my Bounty pack of shamelessly brazen advertising for mums-to-be and decided to fill in all the order forms. She drew squiggles in all the boxes, saying that the baby will need a soother and a mat to lie on and some magic pens that draw flowers all by themselves.
