Merry Christmas

Christmas was feted at Grandma and Granda's with a veritable feast in two parts. The girls all got beautiful dresses from Oma/Opa which they also insisted on wearing on boxing day. Claire took her first two steps - a small start - she also latched on to her first cuddly toy - 'Upsy-daisy'. I was playing guitar/whistle at midnight mass with Mum+Dad. The 'Angel Gabriel' sounded very evocative from the balcony. Heather got the peeing dolly she asked for from Santa - there goes feminism in the 3rd millenium. John

Christmas shenanigans
Heather's Nursey laid on this great festivity of dance supported by Aberdeen's city moves. I wanted to email this but 12 MB was too big - excuse the indulgence

Last Weekend
John was hard at work sorting out the garden at our old house in Glasgow, sweeping the leaves and gathering up the old pears, trimming the rose bush and the thorn bush and taking it all off in green bags to the dump. Sorry, civic amenity site. We are still waiting for someone to rent the house. Any takers? We also caught up with some Glasgow friends and spent a really nice evening at Neil and Anita's church. It was a delicious, entertaining, life-affirming and community-affirming evening,
with food, music, dance, poetry, reflections, memories and more. Lots of people took part and contributed, but it has to be said that every detail was organised by Anita and it was just wonderful.

Christmas at the Forum it wasn't
Nothing like the NSDCC Christmas craft fair either. These references are only for Nova Scotians. Apologies to everyone else. Last weekend I tried peddling my wares at a Christmas craft fair at Fyvie Castle. This was my stall.

Anyhoo. Sales were slow. Customers were slow. Maybe 70 people each day wandered in to our UNHEATED hall, to escape from the -2 degree weather outside. And whoever was in charge of the musak chose Abba. As opposed to festive favourites. So, that's my crafty diversion done. Now I better start shopping, posting, baking, card writing, etc. Get going girl!!!!
