Big Neil got hitched

Last weekend we had the great opportunity of attending Neil and Katie's wedding in Crear in Kintyre. It was in a beautiful location overlooking Islay and the paps of Jura. Sharon got the chance to play with this professional fiddle player. I was best man and did my speech and didn't get too many boos. There was an amazing sunset over Islay and Jura and lots of singing. Showers of blessings on the happy couple.  Excuse the echo effect on 'Wild Mountainside' from the wedding - this is due to poor video editing! Gib and Sal looked after our 4 girls for two whole nights - thanks.

For everyone who wasn't invited

You missed out on chocolate-dipped strawberries and marshmallows,
Seeing Ailsa on her new onesie with matching hot water bottle,
 Making your own pizza,
 Making your own sleepmask,
And falling asleep.

Sitting up in the kitchen during the sleepover

ooh, aren't those cute sleeping masks? Right now there are 5 of Ailsa's friends sardined in sleeping bags in her room. It is quiet at the moment (11:55pm), but 5 minutes ago there was a lot of shrieking and giggling. I have no idea how this is going to go. Will they be up until 3am? Will they start crying and wanting to go home? I feel like I should stay awake down here until they are all conked out. Because, if I get into my bed and start drifting off....and then they act up and wake me up, I will grouch and grump at them in my stupor. And I do not want to be thought of as the grouchy grumpy Mum. I prefer to be thought of as the quietly busy downstairs Mum.
We did make sleeping masks earlier though, that was a lot of fun. None as cool as the owls though. Mostly buttons and bows.
ooh, I hear footsteps coming down the stairs....

eeeuuuwch

When we were on holiday in Aviemore a few weeks ago a bit of my tooth came out while I was eating sausages.
So I finally went to the dentist Thursday. I showed her the broken bit of tooth.
She looked in my mouth. Shone the light around. Twiddled the mirror.
Then she said, "That is definitely a bit of broken tooth, but it wasn't yours."

Halloweenings

Well, I eventually got in the mood for halloween. For some reason, I am less keen every year. We didn't go trick-or-treating on the 31st, but the girls dressed up the next night for the Brownies party and the school disco, and a couple of our neighbours saved a few treats for us. So there we have a witch with her white cat, a vampire bride, a ghost and a cat. Below is the ghost with our miniature carved pumpkin and one of the oddest items in the treat bag.
