One Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty

That is how many photographs Charlotte took in 8 days and very generously let me copy on to my computer. The problem was to choose 6 out of those 1230 to put onto the blog to summarise the fantastic few days we had together. This took me three days, which is the same amount of time we spent together! She really took some beautiful shots.

Mrs Pottinger

We made her with a balloon and covered it in papier mache. After that I popped the balloon and then painted the head. Then we put varnish over the face so it wouldn't get wet and put a straw hat on her head. Then we named her Mrs Pottinger and she lived happily ever after.

Holy Weekend

Aside from the fact that I spent it in my jeans with a big hole in the knee, we went to friend's son's Bar Mitzvah celebration on Saturday. It was really nice. A fantastic sit-down lunch in a marquee tent in the garden, with a chocolate fountain for dessert for the children. Why did I let Heather wear her silk dress?? But it was really nice. Something I hadn't realised was that Nathan would have to not just read out the scripture but also prepare a talk on his thoughts/interpretaions of it. Quite a brave thing to do in front of so many friends and family.
Then on Sunday Ailsa had her first go at being an altar girl! She really liked it and did a pretty good job.

Now we are waiting for Maria and her gang to arrive this week!
