Lucky Them
note to self: I liked this film. Add it to the list of films I have liked in my life.
also, interestingly, this is my first attempt at posting from my phone. If it works, I might be all over this, dropping posts every half hour.

Wild mountainside....
Two weekends in a row we have been roving in th Highlands. Lifetime ambition was to walk the Lairig Ghru following the river Dee to it's highest point where it meets the begining of the river Spey. 22 miles, has to be walked in one day in one direction. Normally two parties would do it in opposite directions and exchange car keys in the middle, instead we did it over a weekend, Sharon and Alison doing it one way with a hotel stop at the end, and Alan and I doing the next day.
Then last weekend the Reids all walked round Loch Muick - got a bit sunburnt, paddled by a royal house - the girls did a really tough walk
As always rain is never too far away

The Harvest
One apple
Lots and lots of green beans
A few meals of tasty carrots
and corn on the cob...in Aberdeen!
two and half of them
We did also have lots of strawberries, oodles and oodles of raspberries, a handful of tiny courgettes, plenty of radishes and a few miniscule beetroots. And we have still to dig up the potato barrel. We'll let you know.
